TRUE LOVE to Air in June {UPDATED}

TRUE LOVE to Air in June {UPDATED}

A while back we posted about Sid’s role opposite Jane Horrocks in the five-part anthology series True Love (formerly Love Life) airing on the BBC this year. We finally have an airdate! True Love will air on the BBC the week of June 18th with Sid’s episode airing on that Thursday, June 21st at 10:35PM Wednesday, June 20 at 10:45PM.

We don’t have any release information for outside the UK yet, but will certainly keep you updated. Here’s a refresher on Sid’s episode:

Sandra (Jane Horrocks) is facing the fact that her marriage has become stale over the years – when her youngest child leaves home she realises that her husband have little to say to one another, and besides this, he’s also having an affair.Then she meets someone who couldn’t be more different from her, but somehow makes her feel alive again – can she throw everything up for this younger man?

With thanks to Marie and AbbyS for tracking down the information.

    ‘True Love’ has been interested, but a bit depressing. Everyone is looking for love, but in all the wrong places and with such incredible selfishness. All the male characters come off as weak and amoral, except for Ismail (Sid’s character) who is the only one to show kindness and a sense of fun. I liked the Jane Horrocks episode best (though I’m obviously biased). The improvised acting was impressive throughout the series and I am sure Margate has never looked more beautiful. It is on my Amazon wish list.

    margate, what a place! Who’d v believed it! I agree with the previous contributor that Sid’s character was the most sympathetic. Would love to have known his back story….I feel from his portrayal that there was pain and loss. Well done Sid, hope to see more of you

    whats that song in in the story “away my soul” or something very appropriate

      ‘Awake My Soul’ is by Mumford & Sons from their wonderful album ‘Sigh No More’. The soundtrack also included ‘White Blank Page’ from the same album

    This episode was interesting as it was as much about friendship as romantic love.
