I hear Facebook mentioned all the time, but I really don't know much about it. What is it like? What do you do there? Do you have to be a member to access stuff?

It's a social network, like MySpace. You sign up, which is free. Basically it's a way of keeping in touch with friends and now it's being used for promotions and such for films, TV, and the like. Anyway, a lot of people don't like it because of privacy issues, but what I do on it to protect my privacy is I only make my profile private- as in only people that are on my friends list can view my full profile. If John Doe came and looked at my profile, they would see my status and my likes, big deal. They wouldn't see photos or what I said to people or about people or my contact info. Facebook has been under fire for it's privacy issues, so they made some changes, allowing people to set the privacy they wish, you just have to be a little computer savvy and actually going into the account and privacy settings. a lot of people just sign up and then complain because this or that is public, but they find out how to change their privacy settings.

It's up to do. Do some research, see what you think. I like it. Yes, you can get obsessed at times;-) I like it to keep in touch with friends in other states and countries. It's also nice for keeping updating on your favorite media sources and film/TV. Miral sends me updates (and of course Primeval).

Maybe someone more tech savvy can take stuff off of there and put it up here.

Thank you for the information, Megan. I was curious and I'll take a closer look at it, but I think Facebook is probably not for me. I'm trusting you to relay anything good you find there about Sid. :-)

Facebook is... Kind of boring actually. But it's a way to keep up with friends and stuff, and it's getting better I suppose. There's really not a lot of freedom to organise personal pages or anything like that. I periodically think about deleting my account but it is the only contact with a lot of family members. You have to friend people to access their profiles and some pages are public content but you join to get updates from various pages.

I saw some of those pages -- they look interesting but I'm not wanting to get spoilers eh!

I use FB all the time. It's about the best way to keep up with my kids.

So far, no spoilers, just the beginings of episodes and interviews with questions like, "Describe your character in three words," "What is your character's job at the ARC?" and my favorite, "Who would you like to trade places in the ARC?" Andrew Lee Potts said he wanted to trade places with Phil cause he had all the $, lol.
