According to Sam Worthington, "Clash of the Titans" is getting a bigger budget. He says they're going to add some gods and scenes to the movie, and they're talking about making the movie 3D.

Won't it be great if Sid is called back to film more scenes.

Sam Worthington is on the cover of the German magazine Cinema. He is wearing his Clash ot the Titans gear and making lots of noise for the film. Unfortunately Sid has not been mentioned. But the good news is. This film is going to run in German cinemas and I will not have to wait for the DVD to be published.

Oooh, that'd be great if Sid got called back for more screen time!

Wow. How often does something like that happen, this close to the release date (bigger budge and more filming)?

(Sounds very different from the situation where a film doesn't play well to special audiences, so gets yanked for retooling.)

It would be interesting to know what prompted the decision.

It's possible when viewed in the new state-of-the-art era, Clash of the Titans wasn't as eye-popping as they felt it needed to be.

Hmm, very possible! Nobody making this kind of movie is going to want to be compared to Avatar and found lacking.

I have just seen an announcement that "Clash of the Titans" will be released in 3 - D on April 2nd.

Any idea if this is official yet Mel?.

Depends. Where did you see the announcement?

I saw it on IMDB but there is now a discrepancy as it looks like certain territories will get it a couple of weeks earlier.

The 3 - D option still seems a certainty though.

Per Warner Bros., Clash of the Titans 3-D will be released in the US on April 2. The trailer still says March 26, but the official website has been updated with the new date.
