I was hoping we might get a new letter from Sid around this time. Actually, it's amazing that we've gotten letters at this time of year at all, since it's such a hectic time for anyone. And yes, I know, we got two letters last year and there have been years with none. But I wasn't part of this forum until this year, so I was just... hoping. His letters are so wonderfully written, and full of personality, humor and easy warmth. And it's very generous that he writes them at all. Now I feel bad for posting this -- what a noodge (nag) I am!

Oh, well. There are new projects to look forward to in the coming year. And I've got something else to wish for, to -- that maybe Sid will make it to the Las Vegas Creation Star Trek con in August. I'll be there, eager to take some good photos. And I'm bringing my 12-year old daughter, a newly-minted ST fan.

Yes, exactly. It's understandable that we'd want a new letter from Sid. He's been in such interesting projects: Merlin, Espion(s), Cairo Time. I'd love to read what those experiences were like for him.

But even more than I want a letter from Sid, I want his career to be flourishing. I hope the dearth of news means he's involved in some exciting, but currently secret project.
