All rightly then, I have just been watching the fantastic DS9 episode Second Skin. I do however, have a question that I would be grateful if somebody cleared it up.

In Second Skin Entek tells us that the memories of long term Obsidian Order operatives are altered to avoid detection, and that the operative is injected with a drug that brings that said operatives own momories back to the surface.

Now what I want to know is, Did Seska (Voyager) have said injuction given to her when the Doctor discovered she was in fact Cardassian, or were her memories never altered in the first place...Does anyone know?

I don't think there was something mentioned about a drug in that Voy episode. Seska always knew she was a Cardassian.

And also, Kira's kidnapping was just a part of a plan to expose Ghemor as a dissident. The information given to her about the drug could be wrong. Just an invention to make the story more believable to her. Why should the Obsidian Order tell Kira about their secret procedures? It was always possible that she would escape. So why give her important information which could be useful?

On the other hand, Seska was discovered as a spy in Voy season 1. The Kira/Ghemor story was in Ds9 season 3. I would say the producers just didn't know about that drug during Voys 1.season. biggrin.gif

I'd say Seska never had her memories altered, just her body. She was more like Raymond Boone, O'Brien's old buddy, who had been captured, killed, and replaced by a Cardassian spy altered to pass as human. He passed successfully for several years, as did Seska.
