SidCity.net is pleased to announce that Sid has signed to star in a short film called The Boundary. The film is by Julius Onah, as part of his graduate work at NYU. Says Sid, "It's very nice little script and talented sounding director. I'm happy to be involved in this poetic short."

The film shoots in early December. Stay tuned for more information!

I like the idea of Sid working with a very young director. Sid was once a very young director himself. I hope we'll get to see this project some day. Shorts don't seem to receive wide distribution -- but sometimes they do pick up Oscars! I can dream.

I love the idea of Siddig participating in this short.

I have seen a couple of wonderful pieces with major actors in them and am hoping that we get to see this at some point.

Good Luck to all involved with this project.

Jude

The only Hannibal DVD I found was suited only for Europe. Where did you get 1 that can be played in the U.S.?

You have to pick up a multiregional DVD player like I did. Best Buy has a Phillips for only $40. Then when Sid makes other European movies(Un Homme Perdue) you can play those on the player as well. Look for the DIVX r symbol. This model plays ALL regions

I've googled around and came up with the following:

The world of a Muslim American family is shattered when during a return from a Thanksgiving vacation in Canada
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Sounds quite interesting! Can't wait to see the whole movie.

Does anyone know if we'd be able to see it? It sounds to be as likely as one of us stateside folks getting a chance to see Un Homme Perdu.

I'm adding The Boundary to my list of "I'm DYING to see this even though i may never get to" Sid projects.

This is a short film produced by a grad student at NYU, I believe. It will most likely be shown at festivals, so it's hard to say if we'll ever get to see the whole thing. It may eventually be released online, but that's probably several months to a year away as the filmmaker will want to take it on the festival circuit first. At any rate, it's nice that they're sharing photos and trailers and all with us. The director himself emailed me to let us know that the trailer was online. smile.gif
