Have you ever experienced live cinema? Tonight I went to a film screening organised by a company called secret cinema...secret because you don’t know what you are about to see, but be assured it is a cult classic. Once you invest in the tickets you are presented with a number of clues and instructions as to what the film is. You are given a role, a dress code, to some extent a function and ultimately expected to be a part of the cinematic experience. On this night I dressed in post war (1945 -50) wear as instructed and joined the masses in another timeline. I watched a woman get arrested, a body getting carried through the crowds, danced along to jazz amongst the actors, drank champagne with the generals and was part of a smuggling operation within the venue... I was even accused of being a communist and sent away to get my wrist stamped. Others I spoke to were given fake passports, gambled, trained in combat and were part of biological experiments. Live cinema – bringing a film into theatre is a very new thing to me. It stops the mundane one-way relationship of the watching and being watched and brings the audience into action. I LOVED being part of the action and interacting with the actors employed. Have you experienced something similar? If you are a Londonite then I suggest you go because it is well worth losing yourself into another life even for a couple of hours. Here is a link if you are still confused - some of the particpants are actors, some are civilians http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y8CARvZKvBM one word - awesome |

Abby Never heard of this phenomenon. Also you are a real night owl. I thought Midnight was late to post on the forum.

Sounds like a lot of fun! Kinda like the murder party games that were popular here a number of years ago -- "here's the scenario, here's your character, dress the part and play your role." I know I enjoyed those, and I think I'd like this too.
