As some of you know, Sid's younger brother, Thomas, is a photographer whose career is on the rise. Recently, Tom flew to L.A. to photograph six pages of British celebs living and working in Los Angeles. The photographs were published in the March 2008 issue of Eve, a UK magazine. We've added scans of those pages to the Gallery and added this forum to feature Tom's work. Many thanks to POTHOS for answering the call of duty and getting the mag for scans!

Congratulations to Thomas for having his excellent photographs published in Eve magazine.
Obviously, artistic talent runs in his family. smile.gif

Mel, are there any pictures of Thomas available for us to see?

Thomas was pictured (twice!) in the July 2001 issue of FBTS. As a rule, scanned pictures of a newsletter photo aren't very good and I don't believe I have any of the originals from 2001. I'll check, though. The picture on page nine was just a good-looking British bloke, but the interesting photo is the one of Sid with his arm around Thomas that was on page one. Sid's "little" brother is a couple inches taller than Sid and considerably broader. No, they don't look like brothers.

Actually, I saw them both last summer and they look a lot alike now. Probably because they both had beards... I'll check on the acceptability of posting a photo of Tom.

Those are really nice photos.smile.gif

Is it embarrassing that I only "know" one of them? paperbag3.gif

Btw: For some reason I thought there was a pic of Sid and Tom in the gallery. But I don't know where exactly.

One of these days I am going to figure out how to just quote a part, on the "to do" list. Anyway, was there a photo of Thomas? I don't recall seeing one. Congrats on Thomas' success!

Yes, Dr. Bashir survived being poked in the eye. You can barely see it, but there's another Dr. Bashir tied to the pole beside the bucket. tongue.gif

Like that painting on the wall behind him, was that taken in a gallery?

I think it does more look like a house in the countryside. Nice assortment of jugs.

Thanks for the photo, Poor Dr Bashir!

May I ask if the club members ever manage to meet up, as it would be nice to meet up and put names to faces. if you were over again would you consider this? and we could thank you in person for all your hard work.

Hey that would be a great idea.

I thought it was a home at first but I saw the lighting fixtures on the ceiling and thought that perhaps it was a gallery. I like interior wood. I have several rough sawn, exposed Viga Beams in my home. It is kind of a southwestern thing I guess.

Is there another picture of Thomas? One where we can see what he looks like? Thomas has never followed in his big brother's footstep and tried acting?

We should try to do a meet up next time I'm over there. Last summer's trip was a fairly quick one, so I wasn't able to get together with everyone I'd liked to have met up with.

That's the only current-ish photo of Thomas I have. He's a professional photographer, as this thread states. You'll be seeing more of his work when we finish the site overhaul.

Whoa! Wait a minute? That picture of the guy reaching up to the bucket above him, and holding a book(cookbook?), that's Thomas?!? I thought that was SID! I remember seeing a picture of Thomas, I think it's the same one that has him standing next to Sid. I thought they look very different from each other.

Thomas looks to have a good sense of humor. I've always wondered if actors had their own action figures lying around. I guess he's staging a picture. The house looks like it's been remodeled.
